SPA V-belt pulleys are used across agricultural machinery, compressors, pumps, fans, woodworking, textile and food-processing equipment. The pulley family may be standard, but the correct configuration still depends on the machine: power, speed ratio, shaft fit, guard space, contamination and maintenance access all change the decision.
Use the application pages to identify the information that belongs in an RFQ. Final drive sizing should follow the machine or belt manufacturer’s design requirements.

Application selection notes
Agricultural Machinery
Harvesters, balers, seeders and irrigation pumps: shock load, dust and fast field service.
Compressors & Pumps
Ratio, shaft fit, continuous duty and service access for motor-to-machine drives.
Industrial Fans & HVAC
Fan speed, alignment, multi-groove belt matching and vibration-sensitive duty.
Woodworking Machinery
High belt speed, dust, compact guards and accurate shaft/hub fit.
Textile Machinery
Long running hours, stable speed, alignment and low-vibration drive behavior.
Food Processing
Cleaning environment, compact machine guards and maintenance access for auxiliary drives.
What changes from one machine to another
Speed ratio
Pitch/datum diameters set the theoretical driver-to-driven speed relationship.
Power and groove count
Groove count is selected from the belt section, pulley diameter, operating speed and required power capacity.
Shaft interface
Shaft diameter, keyway and taper-bush reference determine whether the pulley can be mounted correctly.
Environment
Dust, humidity, washdown or outdoor service can change inspection and material/finish requirements.
Maintenance access
A pulley that is easy to remove can reduce service work where space and downtime are constrained.
Replacement evidence
Model markings, clear photos and a machine drawing reduce the risk of selecting by outside diameter alone.
Common RFQ starting points
| Application question | Useful information |
|---|---|
| What drives the machine? | Motor or engine power and speed. |
| What speed is required? | Driven rpm and the existing driver/driven pulley diameters. |
| What belt is fitted? | SPA/SPZ/SPB/SPC marking and groove count. |
| What shaft must the pulley fit? | Shaft diameter, keyway and existing taper-bush marking. |
| What environment does it run in? | Dust, outdoor service, humidity, washdown or vibration sensitivity. |
| Is it a replacement? | Old model, photos, measured P/O/width and any drawing reference. |
